"Daughtry," the self-titled debut from the band led by Chris Daughtry, has (per Nielsen SoundScan) passed the magical four million sales mark today and is now officially a quadruple platinum phenomenon. The album, released in November of 2006, has been a fixture near the top of the sales charts since its debut and hits this amazing milestone in its 75th week of release. With the singles "It's Not Over," "Home," "Over You," and "Feels Like Tonight" all becoming hits at mainstream radio (and with the fifth single, "What About Now," heading to radio in June), the band's music has captivated the public since its release. Congratulations to Chris, Josh, JP, Brian and Joey on such an incredible accomplishment and congratulations as well to Howard Benson, whose stellar production has lifted this album to such extraordinary heights.
I have loved this album since it's release. Pure Tone has done an amazing job with this album. Daughtry has been the best Idol yet and he didn't even win. Look forward to the sophomore album. Congratulations Daughtry and Pure Tone. I hope for the same success with Donna's new CD Crayons. The samples are awesome!
Bravo, Chris was always a fave on A.I., him and Jordin. Great work puretone!
